Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Who we are
LastMinuteGo (last-minute-go.com) is the data controller for your personal data. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, reach us via our contact form.
2. What data we process
- Account data: email address and (encrypted) password, or your Google/Apple sign-in.
- Course material: documents and text you upload, and the learning objectives derived from them.
- Study data: self-assessments, study paths and sessions.
- Subscription: your plan and any trial (start and end date).
- Consent: date and version of accepted terms and your age confirmation.
- Contact messages: name, email address and message you send via the contact form, used only to answer you.
- Technical data: our hosting partner keeps limited logs (such as sign-in time and IP address) for security and troubleshooting.
We ask for no extra profile data, use no advertising or tracking cookies, and never sell data.
3. Why and on what legal basis
- Providing the service, including your trial (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Answering your contact messages (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Being able to show that you accepted the terms and confirmed your age (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. AI processing
To analyse your course and generate explanations, relevant text is sent to an AI model via a secure server, solely to provide the service to you. Under our suppliers' terms, data from users of our app is not used to train their AI models. We do not use your material for a public question bank and do not share it with other users. No decisions with legal effects are made about you by automated means alone.
5. Who we share data with
We work with carefully selected processors that handle data only on our behalf: a hosting platform and database/storage, an AI provider to analyse your material, an email service for account emails, and Google or Apple if you sign in with them. Your account, documents and study data are stored in a data centre in the European Union (Ireland). For AI processing, the relevant text may also be processed outside the EEA (for example in the United States). This happens under the data processing agreements with our suppliers and the safeguards the GDPR requires for this.
6. Cookies and local storage
We only use strictly necessary browser storage: to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. No consent is required for this. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
7. Retention
We keep your data as long as your account exists. When you delete a course or your account, the related data and files are permanently erased. Contact messages are automatically deleted 12 months after your question is resolved.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Under Account you can export your data and permanently delete your account. For other requests use the contact form; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be) or the authority in your country.
9. Security
Connections are encrypted and documents are stored privately. Access is restricted per user at database level; other users cannot see your documents or progress.
10. Age
LastMinuteGo is intended for users aged 16 and older.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. For important changes we will ask you to review and accept the new version on your next visit to the app.
